Position: Tilt-Up Project Detailer

Reporting:   Reports directly to the Tilt-Up Manager

Purpose:To oversee the process from planning to delivery. Consisting of estimation to product tilt-up panel books, material to construct both purchase and rental items, detail and/or coordinate the production of the panel book with the manufacturer of the lift and brace inserts. As a Project Detailer you will focus on broad issues and any problems that may arise by managing the day-to-day minutiae of a project. Communicate between the client and various teams internally, set times and dates for meetings to keep on schedule, and relay any issues to the customers and Tilt-Up Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work autonomously to provide quick and accurate drawings daily
  • Revise panel books as needed when addendums and/or new plans become available
  • Analyze and interpret Barnsco’s scope of work from bid items lists
  • Download plans from multiple plan rooms (ie. TXDot, ISqFt, Dropbox, etc.)
  • Take phone calls from customers and salesmen with questions about jobs/drawings
  • Produce tilt-up panel book drawings that conform to industry and company standards for various structure
  • Produce accurate and detailed lists of material for distribution
  • Assist with the research of detailing and field problems
  • Coordinate with customer and scheduling personnel for deliveries and placement
  • Coordinate and accounts for any changes in our scope of work
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job
  • Responsible for making sure outstanding service is taking place and all efforts are taken to satisfy customer needs at all levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Outlook
  • Communicates well with customers both on the phone and in person
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Advanced experience with Auto CAD
  • Experience and practical knowledge of Tilt Wall Panel detailing per industry standards preferred
  • Ability to interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions, work rules, and accept constructive feedback
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to communicate with customers, business leaders, and employees
  • Must demonstrate outstanding organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural plans fluently
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Problem solver for both internal and external customers
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or higher
  • 3-5 years of experience in tilt-up concrete construction
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (Preferred)
