Reb Fabrication Machine Operator

Reporting: Reports to Fabrication Shop Manager

Responsibilities

• Personal is required to use protective equipment and safety gear, complete safety check on power equipment (Machines) to ensure the equipment and all safety devices are functioning properly.
• Obtain tags/work orders and program the machine to the proper cut. Check rebar and order more material if necessary.
• Operate the shear machine to cut rebar to customer at the start of the shift, check schedule, and attend meetings and appointments.
• Put on all required and vendor specifications, following all safety procedures.
• Tag finished rebar, bundle, wrap and remove finished bundles.
• Move finished product to the finish table, or to the manual bending if needed.
• Report all equipment damages to supervisor.
• Keep work area and storage areas, clean and organized.
• Prepare 2^nd shift cross over to ensure smooth and continued production through shift transfer.
• Turn in daily report with the rebar them usage for fabrication.
