Position:  Junior Accountant

Reporting:  Reports directly to the Sr Accountant

Purpose: To support accounting processes, which may include daily reporting, contract billing, reconciling, reviewing assets, and assisting in sales tax filing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide reports to Managers and Directors so they may use to make business decisions.
• Provide P&L reviews at month end and provide explanations of entries.
• Provide other reporting to include positive pay and check lists
• Review system transactions including sales orders, purchase orders, inventory receipts etc. to assess proper recording of G/L activity.
• Back up for contract billing which includes daily review, billing, ensuring accuracy, communicating with project managers, ensure tax and pricing is accurate, etc.
• Assist in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory audits.
• Assist in sales tax filing
• Responsible for ensuring assets are properly recorded and removed

Required Education & Experience:

• 1-5 years in Accounting
• Must possess strong oral and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines in timely manner
• Must have strong work ethic and dependable
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Associate in accounting or similar
